I’m not even sure where to start since we last posted…….
So QT2CT had some initial planning taking place, mostly route research because that was the most interesting and it was great to think about all of the amazing places we want to go to.
The more we discussed this trip the more it became real in our minds, from a “holy c..p, are we really thinking about doing this?”, to “hell yeah, we’re doing this!”.
The three of us have been Skyping approximately every month to discuss whatever is on our mind about the trip, the planning, the reality of making it happen and the barriers that exist to such a big adventure.
Steve and Amand have even caught up a few times as well, and this obviously resulted in discussions about the trip over whisky (what else would you expect!). Ever eventful have those trips been as well…….
Part of the planning involved one or two initial mini-adventure trips in NZ. The first of which was going to be in the South Island and we ending up targeting Easter 2016. A lot of our monthly discussion through late 2015 and early 2016 was about bringing this trip together.
Part of the trip also involved getting our respective partners and families on board……..!?!
