Another big milestone has been passed. Firstly we have laid down exact dates for our European adventure trip – 18 August – 10 October 2017.
Given Sam lives where we are starting from and Steve will be living about 500km away it’s not such a big effort for them to get to the starting line. But I have now paid for non-refundable flights so there’s no pulling out now!!
The other big factor in booking flights was getting the requisite time off work, and finally after about 8 months of asking, discussing and saying I don’t like that answer my work finally agreed to give me 8 weeks off……and I promptly handed in my notice 2 weeks later for a new job!
The new job is fine with 8 weeks off. I explained in my interview that there was this non-negotiable bike trip and they did not bat an eyelid!
Another step closer to getting on the road!
