In other news, Sam had a rather nasty experience.
As he describes it “some crazy driver ….. just drove into my motor bike. ….!”. He didn’t have the full stops in there either .
Fortunately Sam was not injured at all, just angry, a bit bummed and feeling quite down given the amount of work he’s already put into his bike and that it might have put his ability to complete the adventure at risk. Quite understandable really!
He took it to the local KTM shop and they thought the bike was going to be a write off. Holy crap!
24 hours later though they thought maybe it would be ok. That’s the most recent news so we’re all sending positive vibes and crossing our fingers.
Please cross your fingers too
Don’t waste a day!
Update – the KTM dealer has recommended:
New compete rear rim
New rear frame
New Akrovic exhausts
New rear light
New rear assorted plastic parts
Total = 2500 euro of repairs
Just waiting for the sign off from the insurance company and the repairs can happen.
KTM have said they can get the repairs done in time for our start date.
Whew!!
Small update:
