All three of us have got our Russian visa applications sorted now and it’s just a matter of waiting for them to be completed. We’ve all used agencies to help us, as you need a letter of invitation from a registered tourist agency to get a Russian visa. We’re quite comfortable that by using an agency it’s pretty much a sure thing.
As you’ll see my one concern is that I look like a criminal in my photo (I promise you I’m not though!!!)
It’ll be great to get the visas done though and then we’re almost there for all the crux items. It feels very good!
With us getting near to having all the vital items sorted, it’s starting to get very very real. It seems so close, but so far away as well. I think all of us are having trouble keeping some focus on our day to day stuff. We’ve put so much work in to get to this point, that it’s possible we’ll have put as much time into the pre-trip work as we will actually be on the road for the trip itself!!
Maybe that’s true, but since very early on in the planning I’ve said we need to embrace and enjoy the planning aspect as well. It’s not just about enjoying the actual adventure when we’re on the road but enjoying the whole experience. How often do you get the opportunity to organise something like this? Almost never so it’s actually a cool unique experience in itself!
Under 5 weeks to go!!!
Don’t waste a day!
