We got some fantastic news yesterday, Sam got his bike back with all the new parts. As Sam does, he pulled a little swifty with the shop and got them to mount the Terminators (Motoz Tractionators) and he’ll fit the new parts himself.
This certainly is a relief for all of us, but especially for Sam.

And a little side note, we’ve finally secured the third GPS we wanted. We decided it’d be great for each of us to have a GPS, so we can all share the lead rider responsibilities, and it’ll be helpful if we’re not riding together to ensure we all get to the same spot eventually.
We’ve gone with a Becker Z100 Crocodile, Sam has used one of these before and has found them the most robust and weatherproof for using on a bike. The funny thing is we almost had this sorted a month or so ago, but for the vagaries of ebay.com we lost it in the final 2 seconds. Super frustrating, and then there hadn’t been another one advertised in Germany or Austria for the whole time so we were wondering whether another one would turn up in time. Thankfully one did and we secured it. And saved 50€ in the process by not getting the other one!
It has also ticked over to less than a month until we meet together at Sam’s place near Graz. Wow! It is getting really close, it’s almost hard to believe that we’ve reached this point. For so long we put all this work in but the reality was still a long way off, so it didn’t have the same realness about it. This has definitely changed over the last month or so. It feels so so cool that it’s gonna happen, and it’s gonna happen soon!!
This last week or so has mainly been focused on getting a logo sorted for Grit and Sprit Adventures, watch out soon for the release! It’s been a challenge designing the right logo which we feel encapsulates the trip, but we’ve done it and we hope you like it too!
