Sam has been getting on with some serious pre-trip bike maintenance. He’s away for work for the month before the trip so has to have everything sorted soon, so he’s going for it now!
This intense focus on work for the trip has certainly ramped up the volume for everyone, mostly led by Sam right now. We are Whatsapping daily, working through a huge amount of little tasks. Sam is leading the way on stuff we need for the bikes. We’re relying heavily on his mechanic background for this.
In fact, Steve and I laughed that if it wasn’t for Sam, we’d just have bought bikes and got on the road and hoped. Instead we’re going to have bikes in tip-top shape and hopefully ready for 10,000+kms of road!
We also talking about how we’re feeling (super excited mainly), but also building bonds of how we’ll work together as a group which is the blueprint for ensuring we get on well and have buckets of fun.
