The Motoz Tractionator may be the best adventure tyres ever!
We decided to go with the Motoz Tractionator for our Black Sea trip. They look like beasts. In fact, we’ve decided to rename these tyres The Terminator. It’s like the Grand Canyon of rubber!
We’ve already had some really cool feedback. When Sam was getting the Tractionators fitted at his local KTM shop, the guy was so interested in them that he’s now started doing some of his own research into them and wants to get his own set!
Update 7.9.2017
We have now done over 3000kms across Eastern Europe
The Motoz Tractionators are awesome.
We’ve put the Tractionators to the test in the bush tracks of Hungary and the gravel roads & alpine passes of Romania (Transalpina & Transfăgărășan). Just yesterday we did over 300km on B class roads in the outback of the Ukraine that had more bad pothole repairs than original road.
The Tractionators perform off road similar to the Continental TKC 80 but the last on the road much better. At this point (3000km’s) the Conti rears would be worn out. I’ve only worn about 1/4 off the Tractionators.
Pros:
Great off road, in sand, rocks, gravel, mud, grass, good grip on the road.
Cons:
Noisey on the road (normal stuff for off road tyres), the front is twitchy at over 140kmh.
Notes:
It took us 3 days to get used to cornering on these tyres but by the end of the Transalpina I had them right over to the edges, and they hold on great.
The Tractionators give the me the confidence to try anything on my fully loaded KTM 950 Adventure.
